Our family is deeply grateful for the care our granddaughter received at Destiny Springs Healthcare during a very serious psychological crisis. Prior to coming here, our granddaughter had been hospitalized at both Oasis Behavioral Health Hospital and Southwest Behavioral & Health Services. Unfortunately, those experiences were discouraging. Communication was minimal, there was little indication that a thoughtful treatment plan was being developed, and our family often felt that both we and our granddaughter were treated more like a ward than patients and family members seeking help. Updates and outreach were virtually nonexistent. Our experience at Destiny Springs was completely different. From the first day, communication with our family was consistent and supportive. Questions were answered, updates were provided, and we felt included in understanding our granddaughters care. Dr. Miller worked diligently to determine the best course of treatment and even collaborated with her regular psychiatrist through peer-to-peer consultation regarding medication management. That level of care gave our family confidence that thoughtful decisions were being made for her long-term wellbeing. The entire nursing staff was skilled, knowledgeable in mental health care, and consistently encouraging. One nurse in particular, Ashley, stood out for her compassion, patience, and professionalism. She made sure we stayed informed about medications and changes in care and was always supportive while we navigated an incredibly difficult situation. During a frightening time for our family, the team at Destiny Springs Healthcare restored our trust that our granddaughter was receiving thoughtful, compassionate, and skilled mental health care. We are truly grateful for the care and support they provided.

Pretty good place, my little one spent some time getting her medicine right in this place. They were considerate, friendly, and took excellent care of my baby. I was so anxious and they put my mind at ease, they put her mind at ease as well, and they made sure every step kept me involved and made every effort to put her on the phone when I'd call. Not a single complaint. Thank you for your kindness and for keeping my little girl safe and comfortable while she heals especially Cody and Martin but definitely all of you up front as well. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. You're a bright spot in a scary world.

I've had a phenomenal experience here at Destiny Springs. I've spent almost 60 years interacting with people from all walks of life; several decades were spent as a practicing physician interacting with my own patients. I have been in healthcare for almost forty years and i've had a lot of exposure to both good and bad facilities and practices. Destiny Springs rates overall among the very best.

My Son was admitted on Friday to Destiny Springs and he came in a situation where he was not in a good place mentally and emotionally speaking at the moment. Confused due to so many issues he is currently facing at his young age of less than 15 years old. Destiny Springs has been very supportive starting by receptionist which her name was Karen. She took care of me that day and she was so sweet and supportive which I have no words to describe how thankful I am. Also the nurse that I spoke to the first day, Dr. Valbuena for keeping the lines of communication open with our son’s progress and for keeping us up to date and making us feel at ease when we’ve felt that the world has been falling apart. I want to personally thank one of the Floor Managers Mr. Martin Milieu for being such an amazing ( HUMAN ) going above and beyond in getting us to speak to someone regarding all the worries and questions we needed answers for. He said amazing encouraging words to us during our visits there. We also want to thank Natasha Wright for being such an Amazing social worker because I felt it in my heart that she is helping all these kids. All those words she said over the phone resonated so well with me and I know they will with my son and all these kids too! I know Destiny Springs is comprised of not only the people I mentioned here, but a team of amazing individuals helping all these kids transition from this rough patch in their lives to a better better one.I’m so grateful to Destiny Springs because in them I found the help I needed for my son. I hope everyone that reads this review decides to take a leap of faith and judge things by their own judgement and experience and not by what others say! My son is still here for a few more days but I’m extremely happy with all the help and support that I have received from all the staff, social workers, nurses, & doctors . Thank you Destiny Springs for helping my son become a better version of himself! 🙏🙏

My son C was recently admitted to this facility, and overall the experience was very positive. Everyone I interacted with was kind, helpful, and supportive. His nurses — Kim, Cynthia, and Rosa — were wonderful whenever I called. My son even mentioned that Rosa has a “super cool accent,” and that Reggie and another staff member “the other big guy” were down-to-earth and very chill, which made him feel comfortable.
Tori and Stephanie were also extremely attentive. They always got back to me promptly and never made me feel rushed, which means a lot when your child is in a place like this. Because of the team as a whole, my son left feeling better, and I’m grateful for that.
However, I did have one disappointing experience at discharge. The woman at the front desk wearing black scrubs and a LEFT carpal-tunnel wrist brace openly questioned why there was a 4 PM discharge. As a medical provider myself, I cannot simply abandon my own patients to pick up my son earlier, nor should I be expected to. Her comments were unnecessary, unprofessional, and frankly, not within her role.
The only thing required of her in that moment was to request my ID and page his nurse. Instead, her demeanor, body language, and tone created an uncomfortable and disrespectful interaction at a time when emotions are already high for any parent. When your child is admitted to a facility like this, you carry a tremendous amount of stress, fear, and guilt — and the front-desk staff should be sensitive to that, not add to it.
Front-desk employees are often the face of an entire facility. Unfortunately, the behavior I witnessed last night did not reflect the professionalism or compassion shown by the rest of the staff.
Overall, I am thankful for the care my son received and the team members who truly made a difference. I hope management addresses the issue at the front desk so future families don’t have to experience the same unnecessary stress.
